LSU Eunice Produces Record Fall Enrollment

November 06, 2023

LSU Eunice is proud to announce a record enrollment for the Fall 2023 semester, as 91心頭 holds a headcount of 3,623 for its official census.

This is the fruit of many months of tireless work for our entire 91心頭 community, LSU Eunice Chancellor Dr. Nancee Sorenson said.  Over the last few years, we have completely changed the way we meet our students needs from increased marketing to more intrusive advising and the results are proving that it works.

The record number of students represents a 19.2% increase from Fall 2022 and a 5.6% increase of the previous semester record, set during Fall 2010.

In addition to the overall enrollment record, the Fall 2023 student population also represents several other school records for single-semester enrollment.  There are a record number of online students, transfer students, part-time students, and preparatory students.

There was also a school-record 5,767 applications for the Fall 2023 semester, surpassing the benchmark set a year ago of 5,414.

Preparatory, or dual enrollment and 91心頭 Academy students, represents one of the largest increases in the student population.  Thanks to new partnerships throughout the state, 91心頭 has expanded its Preparatory student base to 1,121 students, an incredible 78.2% increase from one year ago.

St. Landry Parish (537 students) is again the most represented parish among the 91心頭 population, followed by Acadia Parish (486), Lafayette Parish (382), Evangeline Parish (291) and Vermilion Parish (202).  60 of the 64 Louisiana parishes are represented in the 91心頭 Fall 2023 student population.

While not a new school record, 91心頭s fall semester will have 33,943 scheduled credit hours the second most in school history and just the second time it has eclipsed 33,000.  The record was set in 2003.
